So, on Thursday afternoon we were having a quiet time at home. I was doing some work on the computer, Logan was taking a nap, and Tommy was watching Happy Feet. Or so we thought.
Suddenly, Logan (who had been pretty much dead to the world) sat straight up in bed and bolted into the kitchen. He says he still doesn't know what made him wake up, but he knew he needed to go see what Tommy was doing right away.
You'll see in the video below what he found.
Tommy drew over everything....the cabinets, the dishwasher, the floor, the refrigerator. And he did it in record time! I had just checked on him about five minutes before. He's evidently reached a height where he can get into even our tallest cabinets, so suffice it to say that all writing implements have been moved to "higher" ground until further notice.
The story does have a happy ending, in that Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser saved the day! After about 45 minutes of scrubbing we were able to get most traces of it off. Surprisingly the stain has been the most stubborn on the dishwasher.
But, as Logan said when he grabbed the camera, we needed to document this, because it's kinda funny...when the moment's over.

Hahaha! I must admit, Happy Feet is not the most engaging of movies...
ReplyDeleteAs if waiting for a baby to arrive wasn't enough of a test for your patience!
I'm so glad Mr. Clean came to the rescue!
I hope Jack gets here soon
Sarah used to climb up anything she could to get whatever she wanted and she could do it in seconds. I vividly recall the time she climbed up and got a hold of some oils and then poured them all over herself and got them in her eyes. that was fun... and then once she learned to write she wrote her name on the walls, windows, light switch, toy boxes, herself and THE CARPET! I wish they'd invented the 'magic eraser' way back then. I had to paint over everything. Oh, speaking of paint, there was also the time that she 'painted' the laundry room floor. fortunately the paint scraped up. Have fun memms!
ReplyDeleteI laughed sooo hard when I saw this post!!! When we moved in here alton found a purple marker and proceded to write his name on the stair case!! lucky for me it was washable, I never buy normal markers!! good luck, remember this is only the beginning!!
ReplyDeleteI saw the video and said "OH NO!" Ethnie's done that with a blue colred pencil on her bedroom wall...Fortunately we caught her before she did too much damage, but I understand. :( I'm glad you were able to get it off (mostly) though. And one day you will have this video to show him when he has children of his own. And you will laugh, and he will see what he has to look forward to. :)
ReplyDeleteaw poor things! too funny though! Glad it came off of almost everything! good luck with the new baby!
